"Every piece of the universe, even the tiniest little snow crystal, matters somehow. I have a place in the pattern, and so do you."

T.A. Barron

According to The Richland County Board of Developmental Disabilities, two of the top three highest ranked concerns confronting individuals and families with special needs were residential supports and long-term planning/aging caregivers. With over 490 individuals on waiting lists for residential services in Richland County, Taking Root Farms has a plan to address this growing concern. The residential phase will consist of the construction of four off-site residential homes in Richland County. The residents will enjoy homes designed for safety and afford-ability with 24/7 supervision. Taking Root Farms group homes offer innovative and unique opportunities to live in a semi-rural setting which compliments the existing urban housing programs afforded to the I/DD population in our community.
